Question about PoW

Has anyone compiled stats of average PoW times matched to message sizes, platforms, CPUs / GPUs? For instance, about how long would it take to complete PoW for an outgoing message with these specs: size: 16KiB TTL: 28 days xeon / i7 CPU

Good question. First thing I would do is abstract away the variances in message size, ttl, and recipient difficulty by computing the target. Next I would abstract away the variances in hardware and software by benchmarking the hashrate. From these two values it should be possible to get an average duration. I don't as yet have a formula for calculating this though.
