# Broadcasts You may use any of your private addresses to send broadcasts. If you create a new address and use it for broadcasts, only those who have the address will be able to know about and receive your broadcasts. It is not possible for anyone else to decrypt them. The address is never posted publicly and remains secret unless you choose to reveal it. Remember it like this: if broadcast address is secret, the broadcasts are secret; if broadcast address is revealed, the messages are revealed. # Chans You may create private or public chans. There is no actual difference between private and public, except a private chan uses a secret passphrase that is not revealed to the public. Only those knowing the secret passphrase will be able to access the chan. Remember is like this: if chan passphrase is secret, the messages to the chan are secret; if chan passphrase is revealed, the messages are revealed.

Are Broadcasts == Subscriptions? What if any of your subscribers reveals the broadcast address to the public? You can't control that the broadcast address stays secrect, right?

>> What if any of your subscribers reveals the broadcast address to the public? If someone other than you knows the broadcast address then it should be assumed to be public. >> You can't control that the broadcast address stays secrect, right? Sure you can. Just don't tell anyone. Makes broadcasting from it useless though but that's reality. Pick your poison: a public broadcast address or a useless broadcast address
