Is there a quick way to export a thread, or all threads of a chan in a readable manner.

Or, if not, can one transfer their database from machine to machine? Thank you

You can view and download/export (html) threads of a PUBLIC chan in this site: https://beamstat.com/

Yes, you CAN transfer or copy the database to another machine. In bitmessage interface, click: File --> Manage Keys. The popup will tell you which folder your database resides. Go to that folder. The file named 'messages.dat' is your database. The file 'keys.dat' contains all of your settings and private keys. When installing bitmessage to another machine, copy these two files to the same folder on the new machine BEFORE you start bitmessage. Done.

Did you get the solution you needed?

Yes someone replied here: """ Yes, you CAN transfer or copy the database to another machine. In bitmessage interface, click: File --> Manage Keys. """ HOWEVER, it would be neat to be able to export threads & chans of high value in readable format to spread. Some sort of "Export chan threads to .txt" functionality. Although it might be tough to parse the threads to remove duplicates.

Yes thank you, unfortunately that site prunes chan contents quite quickly... Do you know if it has a sitemap or archive to access months old threads? Thanks
